Woodmore Schools welcomes Jay LeFevre as the new Interim Superintendent of Schools for the 2016-17 school year, effective August 16, 2016. LeFevre dedicated 36 years in education with the Pike-Delta York school system, where he served in many roles - teacher, coach, elementary principal, and finally superintendent for three years.

During his tenure as superintendent, LeFevre was committed to building and fostering trust with community and staff.  Working with the treasurer, he effectively managed district finances, reversing a negative financial outlook, resulting in a healthy school district with a positive forecast through 2018.

Also during his tenure, Pike-Delta York Local Schools received its first ever ODE “Excellence with Distinction” award as well as “Schools of Promise” recognition for the high school.  He was instrumental in the district’s shift to integrative technology by securing an ODE “Straight A Innovation Grant,” working with a consortium of area districts, which provided $224,000 in revenue to Pike-Delta-York, to establish an on-line academy and provide state-of-the-art technology for all students.

LeFevre graduated from the University of Toledo, where he earned his Bachelors of Elementary Education, Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and his Educational Specialist Degree in Administration and Supervision. In his free time, LeFevre likes spending time with family and running. He lives with his wife Marcy in Delta, OH.
