Position: Part-time Maintenance/Buildings and Grounds Supervisor

Hours: 12 month position - 20 hours a week with possible extra hours

Salary:   Commensurate with experience.


Requirements: High school diploma or GED.  Maintenance skills verified by training and work experience.

Qualifications: · Ability to manage compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.

· Available to work irregular hours or a non-traditional schedule when required.

· Displays flexibility, reliability, self-discipline and a willingness to take on challenging tasks.

· Effective communication, problem-solving and time management skills.

· Embodies high ethical standards/integrity.  Accepts responsibility for personal decisions/conduct.

· Maintains a record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.

· Performs physically demanding work that includes lifting/moving large and heavy items.

· Consistently performs math calculations and measurements accurately.

· Valid driver’s license.  Qualified to be covered by the district insurance carrier.  Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is advantageous.

Essential Functions:

Professionally manages district maintenance of buildings and grounds.   Actively supervises department staff.  Establishes appropriate levels of employee autonomy and accountability
Exemplifies professionalism.  Fosters goodwill to enhance the district’s public image.
Maintains open/effective communications.  Serves as a reliable information resource.
Pursues opportunities to enhance personal performance.
Keeps informed about workplace safety practices.  Initiates action to manage risks.
Performs other specific job-related duties as directed.
Experience with HVAC prefered
