Additional Information: Woodmore Local Schools is seeking a Vocal Music Director for the 2022-2023 school year. Applicants will teach and conduct 6 - 12 grade Choirs. Applicants must have a valid Ohio teacher's license or certificate appropriate for the assignment.

VACANCY NOTICE: ANTICIPATED DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY RESOURCE TEACHER

DUTIES: The position of District Technology Resource Teacher promotes the integration of technology that aligns to district goals and supports student achievement. This individual assists teachers in using technology effectively in the classroom. This person will provide leadership, professional development, and instructional support to all staff.
SALARY & BENEFITS: This position will be a WEA position and salary and benefits will be commensurate with experience and the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Extended Days may also be applied to this contract.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborate with teachers in creating effective, technology-rich lessons and provide support as they implement them in their classrooms.
Assist in the implementation of Ohio's New Technology Learning Standards. This includes curriculum development and teaching lessons to district students.
Model and promote safe and appropriate use of technology for students and teachers.
Develop and provide training to building staff in the integration of technology to support student achievement. This includes both job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small groups and large groups.
Collaborate with staff and administration in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology components included with board adopted curriculum materials.
Participate in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities to maintain expertise in the field.
Assist in setting up all online accounts the district utilizes (McGraw Hill, NWEA, Clever, etc…)
Teach Computer Sciences classes, if needed and/or applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ohio Licensure in Elementary or Secondary Education is required.
Graduate Degree or other advanced education in Instructional Technology preferred.
At least three years of successful full-time experience as a classroom teacher is required.
Experience educating teachers or other adults in the integration of technology for instruction preferred.
Knowledge of the following technologies required: SMART boards, Apple computers and iOS devices, Google Apps for Education, Chromebooks, ProgressBook Suite, varying LMS’s, Touch Screen TV’s.
Knowledge of the Academic Content Standards; best practice instructional strategies.
Demonstrate the ability to deliver technology-rich lessons that improve student learning; to team-teach with peers on a collaborative lesson.
Demonstrate the ability to summarize (in both verbal and written form) technical information to a non-technical audience with enthusiasm and empathy.
Demonstrate the ability to effectively educate/mentor all district technology users; ability to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with staff, students, and the community.
Demonstrate effective time management, organizational skills, and prioritization of work to meet the needs of all users; the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Demonstrate the ability to quickly and independently learn new applications, technologies and skills through hands-on experimentation and deliver training and assistance to staff using these new applications.
Proven record of understanding confidentiality of information about students, staff and school matters.
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates new to the Woodmore Local School District must pass a criminal background investigation prior to employment.
