June 6 - Div. III State Track and Field Championships - Senior Drake Blausey just missed in his bid to advance to the finals in the 400 at the state track meet at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on the Ohio State University campus. Blausey finished fifth in his heat of the 400 with a time of 50.01, and that was good for 10th-place overall in the field of 18 runners. The top two in each heat and the next best five times advance to the Saturday morning final. Blausey's time missed the final spot for advancing to the finals by .04 seconds. Junior Landon Rich placed ninth in his heat of the 100 with a time of 11.34, which was 16th among the 18 runners in the two 100 prelims.
