May 15 - Div. III District Meet (Gibsonburg H.S. - day 1) - The Wildcats are sixth with 9.5 points after the first day of the district meet which featured finals in three events. Scoring points for the Woodmore was the 3200 relay team of senior Caydie Buchanan, senior Emma Hammer, freshman Willow Lewis, and freshman Addie Pleasnick. They ran a time of 10:21.62 to place second and earn a trip to next week's regional meet in Fostoria. And, junior Lilian Runion tied for sixth in the high jump clearing 4-6. Woodmore had athletes advance from the prelims to the finals in five individual events and three relays. Senior Azure Travis moved on with the best time in four events - a meet record and school record time of 14.40 in the 100 hurdles, a time of 45.99 in the 300 hurdles, a time of 12.64 in the 100, and a time of 26.21 in the 200. Senior Emma Hammer will take the sixth-best time of 2:40.11 into the 800 final on Friday and sophomore Ariana Florio will join Travis in the 100 final after running a time of 13.10, the sixth-best. The 400 relay team of senior Madi Hammer, Runion, freshman Abby Schmeltz, and Florio ran a time of 52.61, the third-best in the field. The 1600 relay team of Emma Hammer, Madi Hammer, Florio, and Lewis had the fourth-best time of 4:15.23. And, the 800 relay team posted the seventh-best time of 1:54.71 to advance to the Friday finals. The team consisted of Madi Hammer, Runion, Schmeltz and freshman Emma Hahn.
