March 2 - OHSAA District Meet (Findaly H.S.) - The Wildcats finished tied for 42nd out of 68 schools with 14 points. Junior Satori Alter at 155 had a 2-2 record losing in the consolation semifials. Both of her wins in the tournament were pins. She lost by pin and decision. Seniors Addison Overmyer (125) and Stella Stong (140) both had 1-2 records in the district tournament. Both lost in the consolation quarterfinal round. Overmyer lost her first match by pin before rebounding to win by pin. She lost her second match of the district tournament by pin. Strong won her first match by pin then lost by pin in the championship quarterfinals before losing by pin in her final match.

Feb. 21 - OHSAA Sectional Meet (Clyde H.S.) - The Wilcats had three wrestlers advance to the district meet next week and placed eighth of 26 schools in the sectional meet with 59 points. Senior Addison Overmyer advanced to the title bout at 125 pounds with two pins. In the championship match, she lost to Alyssa Woodward from Vermilion by pin. Woodward was the #1 seed in the weight class and Overmyer was the #2 seed. Senior Stella Strong also advanced to the championship match, at 140 pounds, with two pins. In the title bout, she lost by technical fall to Estella Koppert from Mansfield Madison. Koppert was the #1 seed in the weight class, Strong was the #3 seed. Junior Satori Alter will also wrestle next week after finishing third at 155 pounds. Alter lost her first match, then rebounded to win three-straight, two by pin, to place third. She won the third-place match over Ava Spencer from Tinora by decision. Alter was the #1 seed in the weight class while Spencer was the #3 seed. Also competing in the sectional meet was: freshman Vida Hernandez (120 pounds, 0-2 record), freshman Hope Scherger (130 pounds, 0-2 record), freshman Payton Young (135 pounds, 0-2 record),and junior Molly Hower (145 pounds, 1-2 record).

Feb. 8 - Rossford Invite (Rossford H.S.) - The Wildcats were sixth in the 24-school tournament with 78 points. Senior Addison Overmyer and junior Satori Alter both placed second in their weight class. Overmyer had a 2-1 record at 125 pounds and she lost to Alyssa Johnson from Napoleon in the title bout by pin. Both her wins came via pin. Alter was 1-1 at 155 pounds. She lost to ViVi Legato from Archbold in the championship match by pin. Senior Stella Strong had a 2-2 record at 135 pounds and lost to Peyton Taylor from Delta in the third-place match by decision to place fourth. Freshman Hope Scherger had a 2-2 record at 130 pounds to place fifth. She pinned Tierny Fox from Clay in the fifth-place match. Freshman Vida Hernandez had a 2-3 record at 120 pounds to place sixth. She lost the fifth-place match to Ariana Parker from River Valley by forfeit. And, junior Molly Hower had a 1-3 record at 145 pounds to place sixth. She lost to Karen Steven from Clay in the fifth-place match by pin.

Feb. 1 - Start Invite (Start H.S.) - The Wildcats placed sixth in the 37-school tournament with 74 points. Junior Satori Alter was second at 155 pounds posting a 2-1 record. She lost to Vivi Legato from Archbold in the championship match by pin. She had one pin in the tournament. Freshman Hope Scherger placed third at 135 pounds with a 4-1 record. She defeated Ava Lowry from Elmwood by decision in the third-place match. She had three pins in the tournament. Senior Stella Strong was fourth at 140 pounds with a 2-2- record. She lost to Mya Prochnow from Norwalk by decision in the third-place match. She had two pins in the tournament. Senior Addison Overmyer had a 2-3 record at 130 pounds to place sixth and junior Molly Hower had a 1-3 record at 145 pounds to also place sixth.

Jan. 29 - Dual match vs. Clay - The Wildcats lost the dual match at home by a 24-18 score. Winning matches was junior Satori Alter, senior Addison Overmyer, and freshman Hope Scherger.

Jan. 18 - Fremont Vantage Lady Giant Tournament (Ross H.S.) - The Wildcats were ninth in the 31-school tournament with 61 points. Senior Addison Overmyer posted a 2-1 record at 130 pounds to finish second. She lost to Sophia Antonio from North Royalton in the championship match by pin. Both of her wins in the tournament came via the pin. Junior Satori Alter placed third at 155 pounds with 3-1 record. She beat Britoriah Rollison from Sandusky in the third-place match by pin. She won all three of her matches in the tournament by pin.

Jan. 11 - Arcadia Invite - Woodmore finished sixth of 17 schools. Placers for the the Wildcats included: senior Addison Overmyer (130, 1st), senior Stella Strong (140, 2nd), junior Satori Alter (155, 2nd), freshman Hope Scherger (135, 4th), and Molly Hower (145, 4th).

Jan. 5 - Woodmore Invitational - The Wildcats placed second with 89 points in the 17-school invite. Fremont Ross took the team title with 101 points. Woodmore had four weight-class champions. Senior Addison Overmyer had a perfect 4-0 record at 130 pounds to finish first. She won all four matches by pin. Senior Stella Strong (140) and junior Satori Alter both posted 4-0 records on their way to winning their weight class. Strong had four pins in the tournament, Alter has three. Freshman Hope Scherger also won her weight class, 135 pounds, with a 2-0 record. Both her wins came via the pin. Freshman Vida Hernandez had a 3-1 record at 120 pounds to place second. She had three pins in the tournament. Junior Molly Hower also finsihed third, in the 145-pound weight class, with a 2-2 mark. She won both her matches by pin. Freshman Arieanna Blackmore was 2-1 at 115 pounds to place fourth. Both her wins wer by pin. Freshman Payton Young also participated in the tournament posting a 0-4 record at 140 pounds.

Dec. 29 - Marion Harding Girls Classic - Woodmore finished third in the 21-school tournament with 133 points. The home school won the team title with 204.5 points while Marysville was second with 203 points. Senior Stella Strong won the 140-pound weight class with a 5-0 record. She defeated Amelia Medek from Canal Winchester in the title bout. She won all five of her matches by pin. Three wrestlers placed second. Freshman Vida Hernandez had a 4-1 record at 120 pounds with her one loss to Calista Binning from West Clermont by pin in the championship match. All four of her wins came by pin. Freshman Hope Scherger had a 3-1 record at 135 pounds with all three of her wins by pin. She lost to Sophia Holt from Marion Harding in the championship match by pin. And, junior Satori Alter had a 3-1 record at 155 pounds with two pins. Alter lost to Razilee Wisseh from Canal Winchester in the first-place match by major decision. Senior Addison Overmyer placed third at 130 pounds with a 4-1 record. She won the third-place match over Rory Miller from West Clermont by decision. She won three matches in the tournament by pin. Freshman Celena Guzman posted a 1-3 record at 145 pounds to finish seventh. She defeated Gabrielle Kline from Bexley in the seventh-place match by decision. Freshman Arieanna Blackmore also wrestled in the tournament in the 125-pound weight class were she compiled an 0-4 record.

Dec. 22 - Vermilion Soap Defense Invite - Woodmore finished seventh in the 36-school field with 111.5 points. Brush took the team title with 161 points. The Wildcats had six wrestlers place. Senior Stella Strong placed third at 140 pounds with a 4-1 record. She won the third-place match over Emma Finch from Madison by pin. She won three of her four matches by pin. Junior Satori Alter also finished third but in the 155-pound weight class. Alter had a 5-1 record winning the third-place match over Zoe Billings from Tinora by pin. She won all five of her matches by pin. Senior Addison Overmyer placed fourth at 130 pounds with a 3-2 record. She lost the third-place match to Cora Frederick from Vermilion by major decision. She won all three of her matches by pin. Freshman Vida Hernandez was fourth at 120 pounds with a 2-2 record. She lost to Zyon Smith from John Hay by pin in the third-place match. Both her wins came by pin. Junior Molly Hower was fifth at 145 pounds with a 3-2 record. She won the fifth-place match over Callie Wickersham from Tinora by pin. Two of Hower's wins came by pin. Freshman Hope Scherger finished sixth at 135 pounds. She had a 2-3 record losing the fifth-place match to Julianna Campos from Normandy by pin. She had two pins in the tournament. Freshman Payton Young also wrestled in the tournament posting an 0-4 record in the 145-pound weight class.

Dec. 15 - Clyde Invite - The Wildcats placed 13th in the 55-school tournament with 73.5 points. Junior Satori Alter placedthird in the 155-pound weight class with a 4-1 record. She won the third-place match over Jordyn Hunter from Sandusky by pin. She won all four of her matches in the tournament by pin. Senior Addison Overmyer placed fourth at 130 pounds with a 2-2 record. She lost the third-place match to Alyssa Johnson from Napoleon by pin. She won her two matches in the tournament by technical fall and major decision. Senior Stella Strong also placed fourth going 2-2 in the 140-pound weight class. She lost the third-place match to Havyn Rodgers from Caledonia River Valley by pin. She won her two matches in the tournament by pin. Dec. 8 - Bryan Invite - The Wildcats finished seventh in the 24-team tournament with 69 points. Senior Addison Overmyer won the 130-pound weight class with a 4-0 record. She defeated Melanie Buschor from Celina in the championship match by pin, her fourth pin in the tournament. Three other wrestlers placed. Junior Satori Alter had a 4-1 record at 155 pounds to place third. She won her third-place match by pin over Addison Wyse from Delta. Freshman Vida Hernandez had a 2-2 record at 120 pounds to place fourth. Senior Stella Strong had a 3-2 record at 140 pounds to place fifth. Other wrestlers included: freshman Arieanna Blackmore (125 pounds, 0-2 record), freshman Hope Scherger (135 pounds, 1-2), freshman Payton Young (140 pounds, 0-2).

2023-24 Season
March 3 - OHSAA State Tournament - Northwest Regional Meet (Marysville H.S.) - The first-year program concluded the season with a strong showing at the regional meet, the last step before the state tournament. The Wildcats finished 43rd as a team with 15 points. Senior Caydie Buchanan and sophomore Satori Alter both posted two wins and advanced to the consolation semifinals, one round short of wrestling in the third- or fifth-place match. Buchanan wrestled in the 135-pound weight class and lost by pin in her first match. She came back to win by pin and in sudden victory overtime before losing to Marissa Torres from Vermilion by pin the the consolation semifinals. Buchanan finsihed the season with a 28-19 record. Alter, wrestling at 155 pounds, won her first match by pin before losing by pin to drop into the consolation bracket. She won her third match by decision before losing by pin in the consolation semifinals to Ella Warner from Fremont Ross. She ended the season with a 27-18 record. Also qualifying for the regional tournament was freshman Mallory Meggitt, junior Stella Strong, and junior Addison Overmyer. Meggitt went 1-2 at 115 pounds losing her first match, winning her second match by pin, and then losing by decision to fall out of the tournament. She finished the season with a 20-21 mark. Strong, wrestling at 140 pounds, lost her first match by pin, won her second match by pin, and lost her third match by pin. She ended the season with a 16-19 record. Overmyer lost her first two matches at 120 pounds to fall out of the tournament. She lost both by pin and ended the season with a 16-22 record. The top four finishers in each weight class earned a state tournament ticket.

Feb. 23 - OHSAA State Tournament Pre-Regional (Clyde H.S.) - The Wildcats finished tied for fourth of 24 teams with 65 points. Woodmore had all five wrestlers advance to the regional meet next week at Marysville H.S. by finishing in the top four of their weight class. Freshman Mallory Meggitt finished third at 115 pounds with a 3-1 record. She pinned Zoe Kaczmarek from Fremont Ross in the third-place match. Senior Caydie Buchanan had a 2-1 record at 135 pounds and she defeated Soledad Resendez from Ross by pin in the third-place match. Junior Addison Overmyer was 1-2 at 120 pounds to place fourth. She lost by pin to Liv Hussar from Rossford in the third-place match. Junior Stella Strong had a 2-2 record at 140 pounds losing by pin to Brooklyn Koebel from Ross in the third-place match. Sophomore Satori Alter had a 1-2 record in the 155-pound weight class to place fourth. She lost by pin to Ella Warner from Ross in the third-place match.

Feb. 10 - Rossford Invite - All four wrestlers placed helping the team finish 6th of 27 teams with 72 points. Sophomore Satori Alter was second at 155 pounds with a 4-1 record. Junior Addison Overmyer was third at 120 pounds with a 3-1 record. She defeated Liz Hussar from Rossford by pin in the third-place match. Freshman Mallory Meggett was fourth at 115 pounds with 2-2 record. She lost to Jerica Sprague from Arcadia in the third-place match by decision (15-11). Senior Caydie Buchanan was fourth at 135 pounds with a 2-2 record. She lost to Rosaline Case from St. Mary CC by pin in the third-place match.

Feb. 3 - Gibsonburg Invite - The Wildcats placed 12th as a team among the 28 schools at the tournament with 50 points. Freshman Mallory Meggitt was third in the tournament with a 2-2 record while senior Caydie Buchanan and sophomore Satori Alter both placed fifth. Buchanan had a 2-2 record in the tournament while Alter had a 1-2 record. Juniors Addison Overmyer (1-3 record) and Stella Strong (0-4) also competed in the tournament.

Jan. 20 – Ross Invite (Fremont Ross H.S.) – The Wildcats finished fifth of 35 teams with 63 points. Gibsonburg took the team title with 151 points. Woodmore had one champion. Sophomore Satori Alter won all four of her matches at 155 pounds, including the championship match over Lylana Cowell from Whitmer by technical fall. Junior Stella Strong had a 3-1 record at 140 pounds winning the third-place match over Ella Warner from Ross by pin. Senior Caydie Buchanan was fourth at 135 pounds with a 3-2 record. She lost to Karini Espinosa from Clay by pin in the third-place match. Freshman Mallory Meggitt (115) and junior Addison Overmyer (120) both had 1-2 records.

Jan. 17 - Dual match with Port Clinton - The Wildcats had five winners in the dual match - senior Caydie Buchanan, junior Addison Overmyer and Stella Strong, sophomore Satori Alter, and freshman Mallory Meggitt.

Jan. 13 – Arcadia Invitational – The Wildcats finished 8th in the 16-team field with 58 points. Junior Stella Strong and sophomore Satori Alter both finished second in their weight class. Strong had a 1-1 record at 140 pounds and Alter was 4-1 at 155 pounds. Freshman Mallory Meggitt was 1-3 at 115 pounds to place third and senior Caydie Buchanan was third at 135 pounds posting a 3-2 record.

Dec. 27 – Tinora Invitational – Woodmore finished 11th in the 47-team field with 61 points. Junior Stella Strong was third at 140 pounds with a 3-1 record. She pinned Madisyn Seymour from Liberty-Benton in the third-place match. Senior Caydie Buchanan was fourth at 135 pounds with a 4-2 record. She lost to Julia Azua from Archbold in the third-place match by pin. Sophomore Satori Alter (155), junior Addison Overmyer (120), and freshman Mallory Meggitt (115) each compiled a 3-2 record, but did not place. Freshman Emily Wilson had a 1-2 record at 110 pounds.

Dec. 17 – Clyde Invite – Woodmore had two placers in the meet to collect 53 points and finish tied for 15th among the 50 schools. Freshman Mallory Meggitt had a 3-2 record at 115 pounds to place fourth while junior Addison Overmyer had a 3-2 record at 120 pounds and placed fifth. Senior Caydie Buchanan had a 2-2 record at 135 pounds, junior Stella Strong had a 2-2 record at 140 pounds, sophomore Satori Alter had a 1-2 record at 155 pounds, and freshman Emily Wilson had a 1-2 record at 115 pounds.

Dec. 10 – Bryan Invite – The Wildcats placed tied for 18th of the 27 schools at the event with 25 points. Senior Caydie Buchanan compiled a 3-2 record at 140 pounds to place fifth. Sophomore Satori Alter had a 2-3 record of place sixth at 170 pounds. Freshman Mallory Meggitt split her four matches at 115 pounds, junior Stella Strong had a 1-2 record at 145 pounds, and junior Addison Overmyer was 0-2 at 120 pounds.
