  • Coached football at Woodmore for six seasons (1993-1997) – had a 49-17 overall record, 34-6 record in Suburban Lakes League (SLL) play

  • Qualified for the state playoffs in each of his last four seasons

  • Won the SLL title each of his last three seasons (1995, 1996, 1997); were undefeated in league play all three years as part of a 23-game SLL winning streak

  • Coached softball for five seasons (1994-1998) – had a 97-35 overall record, 42-15 record in SLL play

  • District champion in three (1994, 1996, 1998) of those seasons and district runner-up (1997) in a fourth season; in 1994 and 1996 lost in the regional final

  • Won SLL titles in 1994 and 1995

  • Was inducted into the Ohio High School Fastpitch Softball Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2005

  • Also coached St. Wendelin (141-60, 12 years) and Fostoria (109-74, seven years); had 347-169 career record in 24 seasons with only two losing seasons in that time

  • Coached for a total of 42 years with additional stops at Lake Wales, Florida; Oregon Clay; and Gibsonburg

  • Education: Bowling Green State University, 1979, Health and Physical Education

  • Family: Wife – Jeannette; Children – Becky, Tracy, Jackie

  • Currently: Insurance agent specializing in Medicare; Resides in Perrysburg, Ohio
