Our Elementary and Middle School started their day honoring our Veterans. The fourth grade student council served, the elementary students decorated the tables, Mrs. Alexander's class used ASL to say the Pledge of Allegiance, three students sang the National Anthem while another student accompanied on the guitar, our seventh grade enrichment class performed a Reader's Theater, Mr. Kigar performed Taps, and everyone enjoyed donuts, cinnamon rolls, and fruit! Veterans Day is next week and to encourage students to honor and support our Veterans, we are holding a district-wide Spirit Week!
Monday 11/10: Wear purple to honor all branches.
Tuesday 11/11: Wear red, white, and blue - this is also the high school Veterans Day program, so high schoolers (only) should dress up for the occasion!
Wednesday 11/12: Wear camouflage to show support for active duty service members.
Thursday 11/13: Wear Armed Forces apparel.
Friday 11/14: Wear red to remember those who are deployed ("R.E.D." stands for "Remember Everyone Deployed")

The historic girls soccer season came to an end in the state semifinal at Edison H.S. losing a 1-0 decision to Doylestown Chippewa. Abbie Schmeltz made 12 saves in goal in an evenly played game. The lone goal came with 28:53 left in the first half. WHS finishes 20-2-1.

The varsity football team lost a heartbreaking 15-13 decision at Seneca East in their Div. VI regional playoff game. Seneca East scored all their points in the 1st half, Woodmore all their points in the third quarter. Landon Rich had 2 scoring runs and rushed for 96 yards.

Kelsey Kaylor scored her second goal of the game with 10:21 left in the second overtime to propel Woodmore to a 3-2 win over Archbold in the Div. V regional semifinal in Norwalk. The Wildcats advance to the regional final Saturday in Tiffin against Mansfield Christian.

The district will be providing a spirit bus for the varsity football playoff game at Seneca East on Friday evening, 10/31! The bus will leave at 5:15 pm from the high school. We will need at least 20 high school students signed up to go. There will be no cost for the bus, but students are responsible for the cost of admission into the game. Please sign up in the high school office on Wednesday and Thursday to support the varsity football team! 💙🏈💛

The football team has qualified for the OHSAA playoffs as the #11-seed and will play at #6-seed Seneca East on Friday at 7 p.m. Tickets, $12 for adults and $5 for students, can be purchased online on the OHSAA web site. Tickets can also be purchased at the game on Friday night.

The HS girls cross country team placed 31st at the Div. IV regional meet in Tiffin. Top finisher for the girls was Wren Lewis in 22:16.19 to place 120th. Myles Byrd placed 79th in 17:39.32 for the boys. There were 305 runners in the girls race, 297 in the boys.

The varsity football team lost its regular season finale at home to Hopewell-Loudon, 32-6. Woodmore scored the first points the game, but that is all they would score. Woodmore was outgained, 349-161. WHS scored on the 31-yard pass play in the first four minutes of the game.
