
The boys varsity basketball team earned a 55-39 win at Lakota in SBC River Division play. Carson Slates scored 22 points and Brady Thatcher added 17 points. Woodmore outscored Lakota, 34-19, in the second half. The JV team won, 33-23, as Bradley Fetzer scored 11 points.

The Woodmore Middle School Builders Club is having a spirit wear fundraiser. The items feature a general design that says "Wildcat Nation". The high school girls basketball games tomorrow (Jan. 21) at home vs. Old Fort have been cancelled.

The boys HS wrestling team won the Van Buren Invite. Woodmore had six placers - Michael Seeger won the 190-pound weight class, Wyatt Thieroff (120) and Gavin Herrig (157) placed 2nd, Bailey Jendrezejak (215) was 3rd, Landon Rich (175) was 4th, and Aiden Cordy (138) was 6th.

The high school girls wresltling team placed ninth in the 31-school Vantage Lady Giant Invite at Fremont Ross. Woodmore placers were: Addison Overmyer was the runner-up at 130 pounds and Satori Alter was third at 155 pounds.

The middle school boys wrestling team tied for sixth in the 17-school Woodmore Invite. Bryce Ruch won the 98-pound weight class and Lucas Caldwell was the champion at 150. Luke Geldien (142) and Kaden Osborn (205) finished fourth in their weight class.

The middle schooll girls wrestling team placed third in the 28-school Fremont Ross Invite. Tinley Thieroff won the 92-pound weight class while Anires Douglas was the runner-up at 122, and Harmony Kroetz was third at 128.

The girls varsity basketball team earned a 58-24 win at New Riegel. Keira Travis scored 12 points, Alivia Smith had 11, and Kelsey Kaylor and Brooke Lowry each had eight.

The girls JV basketball team earned a two-quarter, 19-9, win at New Riegel. Keira Travis scored sevent points and Karli Heins added four points.

The freshman boys basketball team lost a 55-21 decision at Otsego. Parker Boss scored seven points and Carson Pokrzywa added five points.

The boys varsity basketball team lost a 50-43 decision at Hopewell-Loudon. Carson Slates scored 17 points and Izaiah Wilson added 15 points. The JV team lost, 50-38, as Brandon Kayser scored 10 points and Carson Ivy added seven points.

The girls varsity basketball team dropped a 42-36 decision at home to Lakota. Ariana Florio led the Wildcats with 12 points. The JV team won, 26-16, as Karli Heins led the way with 14 points.

The HS girls basketball games tonite vs. Lakota will be played as scheduled with the four-quarter JV game beginning at 5:30, followed by the varsity contest.

The boys freshman basketball team lost a 42-32 decision at Lakota. Connor Orcelletto and Mason McGee each scored nine points, Parker Boss added eight points.

The middle school girls basketball teams split at home with Lakota - the 8th grade won, 20-16, as Liv Sentle scored seven points, Alexys Becerra six points, and Myra Huss five points; the 7th grade lost, 27-13, as Lacey Schultze scored five points.
