On October 2nd Woodmore High School AP Biology and CCP Biodiversity classes gathered water
quality data on the Portage River at Ory Park in Elmore for NASA GLOBE and TMACOG's Student Watershed Watch. The students then compile and analyze the data to submit to each of the organizations. With the help of our partners, Woodmore has been monitoring the chemical and biological health of the Portage River for 6 years!
Three of the students have been invited to TMACOGs Student Watershed Watch Symposium at the

Woodmore High School took 24 juniors to the annual Ottawa County Career Showcase today! This year, over 30 local businesses, entities, & companies were available for students to talk with, participate in demonstrations, and get to know daily operations. They offered students opportunities to schedule job shadows and even were available to interview on the spot. Our students were the first to arrive and in no time they all were engaging with the presenters, taking notes in their career passports, and communicating well. It was leadership and initiative at its finest! Our chaperones, Mr. Black & Mr. Clair, were very impressed by our students' attitudes and willingness to network with everyone who took part in the event. It was a great day for the students that attended and they represented Woodmore very well!
