
The varsity and JV boys basketball games cancelled tonight at home vs. Old Fort have been re-scheduled for Monday (Jan. 22) with the JV game statrting at 5:30, followed by the varsity contest.

The middle school boys basketball teams split games at Gibsonburg - the 8th grade won, 43-24, as Connor Orcelletto scored 14 points and Collin Perkins added 9 points; the 7th grade lost, 25-19, as Owen Herrig scored 8 points and Bowen ish added 7 points.

The girls varsity basketball team defeated New Riegel, 46-35, in a Sandusky Bay Conference River Division game. Senior Cameran Quisno led the way with 18 points hitting five three-point field goals, while sophomore Kelsey Kaylor scored 11 points.

The girls JV basketball team earned a 19-7 win at home over New Riegel in a two-quarter contest. Freshman Emma Hahn and sophomore Anastasia Pietrowski both scored four points.

The high school girls wrestling team had five winners in their dual meet at home with Port Clinton this evening. Winning matches was senior Caydie Buchanan, junior Stella Strong, junior Addison Overmyer, sophomre Satori Alter, and freshman Mallory Meggitt.

The middle school girls and boys basketball games today vs. Old Fort have been cancelled and re-scheduled for Jan. 27. The middle school boys wrestling event at Lake has been cancelled. The HS girls wrestling event at 6 p.m. at the high school will take place as scheduled.

The middle school boys wrestling team had five champions and placed second in the Chuck Mason Invite at Fostoria with 188 points. Noah Day (80), Bryce Ruch (92), Stone Meggitt (98), Lucas Caldwell (110), and Graham Knepper (160) all won their weight class.

Sophomore Emily Lang placed second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:12.08 in the SBC Bay Division Championships. She also competed in the 200 individual medley placing eighth in a time of 2:49.00.

The Wildcats wrestling team had seven placers to win the John Hughes JV Tournament at Lake with 127 points - Quincy Millerschone (132), Max Morlock (138), Gavin Herrig (144, 1st), Bailey Jendrzejak (157), Connor Herrig (175), Shane Wilson (190, 1st), and Cole Potridge (215).

The varsity girls wrestling team had four placers in the Arcadia Invitational. Stella Strong was 1-1 to place second at 140, Satori Alter was 4-1 at 155 to place second, Mallory Meggitt was 1-3 at 115 to place third, and Caydie Buchanan was 3-2 at 135 to place third.

The varsity girls basketball team lost a 41-38bdecision at Lakota in an SBC River Division contest. Kara Schneider scored eight points to lead Woodmore while Camille Strong and Cameran Quisno both added seven points.

The varsity boys basketball team lost a 65-52 decision at New Riegel in an SBC River Division game. Brady Thatcher scored 21 points to lead Woodmore while Luke Morris chipped in with 15 points.
