Stay Safe!

Woodmore Schools will be on a 2 hour delay today November 20

Woodmore Drama Club invites the cast and crew to an evening of fun on Friday, December 20 from 6-8 PM at the K-8 cafetorium in Woodville. Cast members will receive their schedules and scripts and crew members will meet to let us know where they are interested in working backstage. Dinner will be provided followed by Christmas cookie decorating, carol singing and games.

Our Jazz Band was recently selected to perform at OSBA Capital Conference yesterday! What an amazing honor - and they did outstanding! Well done Wildcats!

Seventeen middle school and twenty-three high school students attended Woodmore Drama Club's auditions this past Sunday. Congratulations to our cast; what talent they all have! We look forward to seeing all of you in our audiences this upcoming March as we perform "Once Upon a Mattress."

We have two new members joining our Athletic Council!
Wade Weaver is an WHS alumni who played football and basketball and was also a former assistant football coach from 1996-2005. Wade is excited to help strengthen the overall athletic program at WLS.
Michelle Westerman is a parent with children at elementary and middle school. Her oldest will be attending middle school next year and will be part of the football and wrestling program. She is relatively new to the district but is excited to be part of the continued growth of our athletic programs.
We thank you for volunteering your time to help our Woodmore Community! Go Cats!

Thank you to our Veterans!
Our high school had their annual Veterans Day Luncheon and recognition program today. With performances by Justin Kigar, Rylan Vinson, the Symphonic Chorale, Jazz Band, a collection of great student speakers, and last but certainly not least, our guest speaker, Petty Officer Second Class Ross Wolford, it was a moving tribute to our Veterans.
Woodmore thanks you for your service!

Thank you to all of our families that were able to attend conferences this evening. Our educators are always eager to share the amazing things being done each and every day in the classroom. We appreciate those of you that were able to take out some time to come in tonight.
We also understand that some of you may not have been able to make it this evening. Don't worry! We have another opportunity next Thursday, November 14. If that evening doesn't work, please reach out to your students' teacher/s to work on getting something set up. Thanks for your support!

Thank you to all the parents and students who joined the Drama Club for our audition meeting this past Tuesday evening. If you missed the meeting and still want to audition, please feel free to join us this Sunday at the K-8 building in Woodville. Students in grades 6-8 will audition from 4-4:45 and those in grades 9-12 will audition from 5-?. Before auditioning, there will be paperwork that needs to be filled out by each participant. Any concerns, questions or comments may be directed to Marcia Busdeker by texting her at 419-559-3514. See you on the stage!

Congratulations to November's Elementary Musicians of the Month!

Yesterday, the elementary celebrated Halloween in spectacular fashion! There was a parade, Halloween parties in classrooms, and Loved Ones to Lunch! It's a busy day, but one the students look forward to!

Attention Elementary and Middle School parents!
It's almost Book Fair time! Next week Nov 4 - Nov 8, our Book Fair will be taking place in the media center! If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Sorensen by calling the school.
Check out our Book Fair website: https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/woodmoreschool

Earlier today, students in Mr. McCarthy's class helped out at the Elmore Retirement Village with some groundskeeping and even helping in a couple of apartments! What an awesome way to give back, Wildcats!! #WoodmoreNation

Last week the Elementary and Middle Schools participated in "Stuff the Bus" with the bus drivers! All together, they collected just over 600 items to donate to Elmore and Woodville food pantries. As a fun bonus, the students got to put their vote for a staff member to get "pied" at the end of the week during an all-school assembly. Mr. Davis and Ms. Lafontaine ended up tying and both were hit with a pie by a student.
Great job collecting goods, Wildcats! #WoodmoreNation

Last Thursday, some of the elementary staff and bus drivers passed out candy at the Woodville Fright Night! They even turned the Band bus into a mini walk-through Haunted House. How cool!
