Sixth grade is off to camp this morning! Have so much fun, Wildcats!
The boys HS wrestling team was 6th in the 29-school Rossford Invite. Bailey Jendrzejak was the runner-up at 215 pounds while Wyatt Thieroff (120) and Michael Seeger (190) placed third. Aiden Cordy (132) was 4th, Landon Rich (165) was 5th, and DJ Orcelletto (144) 6th.
The HS girls wrestling team finished 6th in the 24-school Rossford Invite. Addison Overymyer (125) and Satori Alter (155) both finished second in their weight class. Stella Strong (135) was 4th, Hope Scherger (130) 5th, and Vida Hernandez (120) and Molly Hower (145) were 6th.
Junior Emily Lang placed 5th in the 500 freestyle at the Div. II sectional meet at Oak Harbor with a time of 5:48.62. She placed 10th in the 200 freestyle (2:11.80). She is expected to qualify in both events for the district meet Friday at BGSU.
The varsity boys basketball team lost a 44-37 decision at home to St. Mary CC. Brady Thatcher scored 15 points and Carson Slates added 12. The JV team lost, 35-23, as CAden Hilt scored 14 points.
The boys seventh grade basketball team captured the SBC River Division championship with a 50-31 win over Lakota. The Wildats led 14-2 after one quarter and 25-5 at halftime. Grayson Thatcher scored 17 points, Joe Barr added 10 points, Chase Allen had 9, and Avery Clouse had 8.
The high school girls basketball games tonight (Feb. 8) have been cancelled and re-scheduled for Monday (Feb. 10) with the JV game starting at 5:30.
The varsity boys basketball team lost 72-47 at Calvert. Gavin Donley scored 14 points and Brady Thatcher had 13. The JV team lost, 47-38, as Caden Hilt scored 11 points and Ryan Maynard 10. The freshman team lost 42-35, as Parker Boss scored nine and Connor Orcelleto eight.
**Elementary too!!** Next week, elementary wants to join in celebrating the Winter Royalty fun with Spirit Week. Now we can make it District-Wide!!

The varsity girls basketball team dropped a 36-31 decision at home to Danbury. Kelsy Kaylor scored eight points to lead the Wildcats. The JV team was a 46-17 winner behind 12 points from Lilian Runion and 10 points from Abbie Schmeltz and Karli Heins.
The HS girls basketball games tonight vs. Danbury will be played as scheduled. The JV game will begin at 5:30, followed by the varsity contest.

The boys 7th grade basketball team beat Danbury, 39-24, in the SBC tournament semifinals. Chase Allen scored 11 points, Avery Clouse and Grayson Thatcher each had 10 points. They face Lakota Saturday morning at 10:15 at Old Fort HS in the title contest.
The freshman boys basketball team lost a 45-31 decision at Old Fort. Parker Boss scored 10 points to lead the Wildcats while Mason McGee added nine points.
The varsity boys basketball team earned a 63-47 win at St. Mary CC. Brady Thatcher scored 27 points while Carson Slates had 15 and Brody Ish 10. The JV team lost, 43-34 as Bradley Fetzer scored 13 points and Collin Perkins added eight.
The varsity girls basketball team earned a 63-22 win at home over Old Fort. Kelsey Kaylor scored 13 points and Camille Strong added 11 points as 12 different Wildcat players scored in the game.
