Great news from the Power of the Pen regional tournament at Ohio State in Lima! Reagan Walper earned a 6th place medal and Tyler Little earned a 9th place medal! We will not know the actual rankings for the other 6 writers for about a week. BUT - this means that Reagan and Tyler advance to the state tournament May 21 and 22 at Ashland University! Congratulations! And a special note from the PoP advisor, Sally Makulinski: "A huge thank you to Laurie Czeczele and Tammy Johnson for making the day a smooth and enjoyable experience for our kids! GO Wildcat Writers!"

The Middle School held a Winter Sports Pep Rally at the end of the day today! They recognized our Northwest Ohio Quiz Bowl Championship team, our SBC Champion 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team, and SBC Champion wrestlers Bryce Ruch and Lucas Caldwell! There were also plenty of fun games - a Rock/Paper/Scissors tournament (congrats Bridget Hunt!), a class game where they were tasked to make a classmate a mummy out of toilet paper as fast as they could (congrats 8th grade team!), and a game of Knock Out between our 7th grade boys' basketball team and the faculty (congrats Chase Allen on beating out Mr. Schlea!). To cap it off, the 7th grade was awarded the Spirit Stick! It was a great way to kick off the weekend! Great job Wildcats!!
