Senior swimmer Emily Lang won the 500 freestyle at the sectional meet at Oak Harbor with a time of 5:37.24. She also placed fourth in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:09.18. She has qualified for the district meet on Friday at BGSU in both events.

The varsity wrrestling team won the Dick Hoover Invite hosted by Springfield HS with 310 points. Aiden Cordy (126), Wyatt Thieroff (138), Landon Rich (175), and Bailey Jendrzejak (215) all won their weight class. Three other wresters placed second and two others were third.

The HS boys basketbal teams lost games at Hopewell-Loudon. The varsity lost, 52-42, as Carson Slates scored 29 points. The JV team lost, 45-37, as Collin Perkins scored 14 points. And, the freshman team lost, 35-29, as Kielyr Overly scored seven points.

The 8th grade boys basketball team captured the SBC River Division title with a 43-24 win over Calvert in the championship game held at Old Fort H.S. Avery Clouse scored 14 points while Chase Allen and Joe Barr added 10 points each.

The girls HS basketball team swept a pair of games at home from Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic. The varsity was a 70-28 winner as Izzy Helmke scored 15 points, Keira Travis 11, Ariana Florio 10, and Kelsey Kaylor 10. The JV team won, 12-10, as Karli Heins scored six points.

The Middle School held a clapout today to cheer for the 8th grade boys basketball team ahead of tomorrow’s championship basketball game! They are looking to complete an undefeated season with a conference championship. Good luck, Wildcats!

The HS boys basketball teams split games at home with Gibsonburg. The varsity lost, 69-41, as Gavin Donley scored eight points for the Wildcats. The JV team was victorious. 56-51, behind 20 points from Parker Boss and 10 points from Carson Ivy.

The 8th grade boys basketball team earned a 46-41 win over Hopewell-Loudon in the SBC Tournament semifinals. Avery Clouse scored 19 points while Joe Barr and Grayson Thatcher each scored nine points and Chase Allen added eight points. Advance to final Saturday vs. Calvert.
