Tonight, before the start of the football game, Woodmore High School introduced the 2025 Homecoming Court and crowned our King and Queen, Adyn Smith and Emma Watson!

The high school students ended their week with the final Homecoming Pep Rally! Huge thank you to the Portage Inn for donating the pizza boxes that were used in one of the games! Don't forget to come see the parade tonight at 6pm and then head into the stadium to watch our 5-0 football team take on Margaretta this evening at 7pm! GO CATS!



The boys golf team finished 7th in the Div. III sectional tournament at Green Hills GC. Brandon Kayser led the way shooting 81, Kevin Wallace shot 87, Mason Busdiecker 90, Keston Mayo 103, and Parker Boss 108.
The high school volleyball teams split matches at home with St. Joseph CC - the varsity lost, 25-16, 25-18, 25-16; the JV team won, 23-25 25-23, 25-18.

The girls soccer team earned a 7-0 win at Vermilion. Kelsey Kaylor scored 3 goals and Izzy Helmke, Taylor Hill, Camille Strong, and Wren Lewis each had a goal. Emma Hahn and Willow Lewis each had two assists. Six other players had an assist. Abbie Schmeltz had 1 save in goal.
The high school volleyball teams lost matches at Lakota - the varsity lost, 25-18, 17-25, 25-17, 25-17; the JV team lost, 25-17, 25-14.
The girls golf team finished 7th in the 12-team Div. II sectional tournament at Ironwood GC with a 422 team total. Abbey Tucker missed advancing to the district tourney by one stroke shooting 94. Jordyn Dunn shot 101, Satori Alter 112, and Lexi Martin and Olivia Sentle shot 115.
Homecoming Week is here! High School students kicked it off with a Scavenger Hunt at the end of the day today. Classes competed against each other to see who could bring Mrs. Valasek random items the fastest! Lots of running, lots of shouting!






The girls soccer team earned an 11-0 win at home over Sandusky. Kelsey Kaylor scored 4 goals while seven other players scored single goals. Karli Heins had three assists and Izzy Helmke and Emma Hahn both had two. Abbie Schmeltz and Grace Hablitzel did not have a save in goal.
The HS volleyball teams lost at home to Ottawa Hills - the varsity lost, 25-13, 25-11, 25-17; the JV team lost, 25-20, 25-16.
The Woodmore Wildcats Marching Band performed for their first OMEA competition this past Saturday, September 20th at Ottawa-Glandorf High School. Our band earned an Excellent Rating (a Two) in class C scoring 72.44. Their next contest performance will be at 5:30 pm on October 4th at Norton High School. Don't forget! There is no school on Monday, September 22nd for our District Data and Professional Development Day!

The HS boys cross country team placed 24th in the Liberty Center Extravaganza. Marcus Shroder was the top finisher in 114th-place with a time of 19:21.21. The top finisher for the girls was Wren Lewis who placed 67th with a time of 22:51.15.
The MS boys cross country team placed 2nd at the Liberty Center Extravaganza with 77 points. The Wildcats had 4 runners in the top 22 led by a ninth-place finish by Cooper Martin running 11:57.62. The top finisher for the girls was Grace Blausey in 49th-place in 15:08.04.
The boys soccer team lost a 12-2 decision at Genoa as Blake Baughman and Ryne Donley scored the goals. Blake Avers and Auden Hemminger had the assists. Jack Avers had seven saves in goal.
The JV football team was a 38-14 winner at home over Willard. Lucas Caldwell had four rushing touchdowns while Mason McGee passed to Collin Perkins for the other score. McGee also had three passes for two-point conversions while Caldwell had a two-point run.
The HS football team posted a 62-20 win at Willard in SBC River play. The Wildcats scored 4 touchdowns in the first quarter and outgained the Flashes, 437-194. Landon Rich rushed for 190 yards and 3 touchdowns while Calvin Lipstraw threw for 3 scores. WHS led 41-12 at the half.
Our Woodmore Elementary ROAR winners were congratulated today by a VERY special suprise guest!! I managed to sneak out visitor around to visit some of our other students without getting caught by Mr. Barrett. Shhhhh!!! Don't tell!!
