On Thursday May 12, our FFA Chapter hosted a Farm Day for Elementary students. We had 345 students come out on Thursday, and 21 FFA members teaching these students. We had a ton of stations including Popcorn, Rabbits, Sheep, Goats, What is FFA?, Ducks, Chickens, Pheasants, Steer, and a tractor station. The kids would come out and visit each station. We enjoyed talking to these younger kids about animals and FFA. They learned about popcorn all the way up to large animals and farm equipment. Farm Day is beneficial for these kids who do not live on farms or nearby one, so they can experience large livestock if they do not have the chance to. We had a great outcome and a number of students who said they wanted to be involved like us when they get older.
