The HS boys track team did not score on the first day of the Div. III district meet at Gibsonburg. The Wildcats advanced athletes to Friday's finals in three individual events and one relay.

The HS girls track team is 6th with 9.5 points after the 1st day of the Div. III district meet. In finals, the 3200 relay team finished 2nd and Lilian Runion tied for 6th in high jump. Woodmore advanced runners in four individual events and and three relays. Finals are Friday.

The varsity baseball team lost a 9-0 decision at Margaretta in a Div. III sectional state tournament game. Trace Murphy started and pitched all six innings allowing three earned runs and striking out seven. Michael Seeger had three hits.

The varsity softball team earned a 15-10 win at Fremont Ross. Kelsey Kaylor had 4 hits and scored 5 runs, Taylor Hill had 3 hits and 5 RBI, and Emmaleigh Lawrence had 2 hits and 5 RBI. Hill started and pitched 3 innings and Olivia Scavio finsihed getting the win.

The varsity baseball team lost a 6-5 decision at home to Old Fort. Michael Seeger had two hits and scored two runs and Nick Horvath had a two-run double. Calvin Lipstraw started and worked 4.0 innings allowing one earned run. Gavin Donley and Keil Almroth also pitched.

The varsity softball team lost 16-0 in five innings in their Div. IV district game against Danbury at Clyde H.S. Kelsey Kaylor and Camille Strong had the WHS hits. Olivia Scavio and Taylor Hill both pitched in the game.

The varsity baseball team lost a 10-0 decision at Hopewell-Loudon in five innings. Woodmore did not get a hit in the game. Michael Seeger started and went 1.2 innings. Parker Hahn and Keil Almroth also pitched.

The JV baseball game this morning at Lakota has been cancelled.

The HS girls track and field team won the River Division team title of the Sandusky Bay Conference with 144.5 points. Azure Travis won four events (100, 200, 100H, 300H), Emma Hammer won the 800, and Lilian Runion won the long jump. WHS scored in 16 of 17 events.


The boys HS track and field team finished sixth in the River Division at the Sandusky Bay Conference Championships with 47 points. Drake Blausey was the division champ at 800 meters and he was third in the 400. Landon Rich was second in the 100 and third in the 200.

The varsity baseball team lost a 2-0 decision at home to Lakota. Cole Potridge had the only Wildcat hit, an infield single in the fourth inning. Trace Murphy started and went six innings and he did not allow an earned run while striking out eight. Lakota had five hits.

The varsity softball team defeated Lakota, 8-4, to advance in the Div. IV state tournament. They play Danbury Monday at 4 p.m. at Clyde H.S. in the district semifinal. Cameran Quisno tossed a 6-hit, complete game with 4 strikeouts. Kaitlyn Babka and Taylor Hill had 2 RBI.

The varsity softball OHSAA tournament game this afternoon at home vs. Lakota has been postponed and re-scheduled for tomorrow (May 10) at 5 p.m.

The JV baseball team lost a 12-5 decision at Gibsonburg. Wesley Kayser had two hits and scored two runs and Keegan Strong had two hits and an RBI. Blane Overmyer started and pitched five innings allowing five earned runs. Kayser and Blake Avers also pitched.

The HS girls track team is third in the River Division afer the first day of the SBC Championships and the boys team did not score. Addison Overmyer was second in the pole vault and Caydie Buchan was second in the 3200. The 3200 relay placed third. Most meet finals on Friday.

The varsity baseball team was a 10-1 winner at home over Danbury. Parker Hahn tossed a complete-game, six-hitter with eight strikeouts. Gavin Donley had three hits and scored three runs. Luke Avers had one hit and two RBI while Keil Almroth had a hit and scored three runs.

The vasity softball team earned a 2-1 win at home over Danbury. Cameran Quinso pitched a complete-game 7-hitter with 7 strikeouts and no earned runs allowed. Kelsey Kaylor had four hits, including the game-winning RBI single, while Camille Strong had 3 hits and Olivia Scavio 2.
