Woodmore 6th graders are currently reading The Hunger Games in English and yesterday they ran their own mock reaping event. Students were asked to dress in their “nicest wear” just as the characters in the book do in case they are headed to The Capitol. The student tributes that were chosen will serve as representatives of the tributes in the book to help us keep track of which district tributes have been eliminated and which are still in the running as the book continues. It is a great way to help students connect, elicit excitement, and keep track of the many characters we’re introduced to in this story!

Congratulations to Woodmore senior running back Landon Rich and junior defensive back Wesley Kayser who both earned first-team All-Northwest District honors, at their resepctive positions, as selected by the Ohio Prep Sports Media Association.
The Middle School Talent Show is TODAY! We will start livestreaming at 1:30.

Our Elementary and Middle School started their day honoring our Veterans. The fourth grade student council served, the elementary students decorated the tables, Mrs. Alexander's class used ASL to say the Pledge of Allegiance, three students sang the National Anthem while another student accompanied on the guitar, our seventh grade enrichment class performed a Reader's Theater, Mr. Kigar performed Taps, and everyone enjoyed donuts, cinnamon rolls, and fruit! Woodmore Elementary and Middle School students say THANK YOU to our Veterans!
