This is a reminder that Woodmore will have a 2 Hour Early Release on Thursday, June 5th for the end of the 4th quarter!

Yesterday, June 2nd, was our Color Run at the elementary and middle school! What a colorful, hot, messy, FUN event! It also means that the end of the school year is near! Finish strong Wildcats!

On May 29, Mr. Schlea's 8th grade PEC science class took a trip to Ohio State's Stone Laboratory on Gibraltar Island (right off South Bass Island). During the trip, students participated in real-life scientific studies on Lake Erie. They collected water, zooplankton, and phytoplankton samples from the lake, later observing and identifying those plankton under microscopes. They also went trolling for fish where they caught walleye, yellow perch, and sheephead. In addition, they engaged in insect studies and collections, conducted fish studies and dissections, and observed the island's geology and glacial grooves while discussing the history of the Great Lakes region. This trip was fully funded by the Ottawa County Community Foundation and provided a valuable, hands-on learning experience for the students!

Today our amazing Woodmore PTO put on the annual Field Day! The students had a BLAST. Thank you PTO!! Check out our Facebook page for more pictures!

Today we said "Happy Retirement!" to two of our amazing teachers! Mrs. Sandwisch and Mrs. Perkins wrapped up their careers this afternoon - thank you for your years of service and dedication to Woodmore! #WildcatNation
