
The middle school girls basketball teams split at home with Danbury - the 8th grade won, 27-8, as Lacey Lipstraw scored 13 points; the 7th grade lost, 17-14, as Myra Huss scored seven points.

Our Middle School Builders Club is having a food drive for the month of February!
Students will bring in their donations to their first period class. The class with the highest average donations (found by taking the number of items donated, divided by the number of students in the class) will be awareded with a party of their choice (donuts, pizza, ice cream, etc.)!

The middle school girls basketball teams split games on the road at Calvert - the 8th grade won, 38-23, as Olivia Schreck scored 11 points, Karli Heins and Addison Lowry scored eight points each; the 7th grade lost, 16-9, as four players each scored two points.

The middle school boys basketball teams split at home with Calvert - the 8th grade won, 33-28, as Caden Hilt scored 12 points and Connor Orcelletto added seven points; the 7th grade lost, 34-22, as Bowen Ish scored 10 points and Owen Herrig scored six points.

The Middle School made a last minute decision to participate in Winter Royalty this week and are having dress up days for the rest of the week! (This is middle school ONLY).

The middle school girls basketball teams lost on the road at Old Fort - the 7th grade lost, 35-14, as Samantha Alarcon scored five points, Myra Huss and Liv Sentle each had four points; the 8th grade lost, 49-28, as Payton Whitcum scored eight points and Karli Heins six points.

The middle school boys basketball teams lost games at home to Old Fort - the 8th grade lost, 32-28, as Ish Nagy scored 13 points and Connor Orcelletto added six points; the 7th grade lost, 41-17, as Owen Herrig scored eight points.

The middle school girls basketball teams split at St. Mary CC - the 8th grade won, 32-24, as Lacey Lipstraw scored 12 points, Karli Heins 10 points, and Payton Whitcum 9 points; the 7th grade lost, 53-7, as Myra Huss scored 4 points.

The middle school boys basketball teams split at home with St. Mary CC - the 8th grade won, 19-18, as Caden Hilt scored 8 points and Ish Nagy 6 points; the 7th grade lost, 39-18, as Owen Ziebold and Bowen Ish both scored 6 points.

The boys HS basketball team will play only a JV and varsity game tomorrow (Jan. 25) when they travel to St. Joseph Central Catholic. There will NOT be a freshman game played tomorrow. The JV game will begin at 5:30, followed by the varsity contest.

The HS girls basketball games tonight at Old Fort will be played as scheduled with the 2-quarter JV game starting at 5:30.

The middle school girls basketball teams split games at home with St. Joseph CC - the 8th grade won a 2-quarter game, 15-6, as Olivia Schreck scored six points; and the 7th grade lost, 22-10, as Samantha Alarcon and Alexys Becerra both scored four points

The 8th grade boys basketball team earned a 37-31 win at St. Joseph Central Catholic. Caden Hilt scored 8 points, Connor Orcelletto scored 7, and Ish Nagy scored 6.

The MS boys wrestling team finished 4th in the Northwood Invite with 170.5 points. Stone Meggitt was 2-0 at 86 pounds, DJ Orcelletto was 4-0 at 134, and Zach Garber was 4-0 at 205 to win their weight class. Lucas Caldwell was 3-1 at 110 to place 2nd. Four wrestlers placed 3rd.

The middle school girls wrestling team had two placers in a tournament at Fremont Ross today. Elena Reif lost in the final to place second at 98 pounds. She had a 3-1 record. Tinley Thieroff had a 1-1 record at 86 pounds to place second.

The varsity and JV boys basketball games this evening (Jan. 19) vs. Old Fort at home have been cancelled.

Due to hazardous road conditions and the forecast of continued snow, Woodmore Local Schools will be closed today, Friday, January 19th, 2024. Stay safe and warm Woodmore families!

As a reminder, the second quarter ends tomorrow, so we will have a 2 hour early release on Friday, January 19th!
