The middle school girls and boys basketball games today vs. Old Fort have been cancelled and re-scheduled for Jan. 27. The middle school boys wrestling event at Lake has been cancelled. The HS girls wrestling event at 6 p.m. at the high school will take place as scheduled.

The middle school boys wrestling team had five champions and placed second in the Chuck Mason Invite at Fostoria with 188 points. Noah Day (80), Bryce Ruch (92), Stone Meggitt (98), Lucas Caldwell (110), and Graham Knepper (160) all won their weight class.

The middle school girls basketball teams lost games at home to New Riegel - the 7th grade lost, 35-12, as Myra Huss scored four points; the 8th grade lost, 22-18, as Karli Heins scored seven points and Payton Whitcum added four points.

The 7th grade boys basketball team lost a 33-7 decision at New Riegel. Jack Avers scored three points.

Woodmore Power of the Pen!
Power of the Pen is a creative writing competition for Ohio 7th and 8th graders. Their first tournament is February 3 at Tiffin Middle School. This is Woodmore's 24th 🙌 year of competition!
Our team this year:
7th grade: Tyler Little, McKenzie Giesler, Kaelyn Johnson, Josiah Bench, Owen Ziebold
8th grade: Sophie Bell, Bella Goings Violet Davis, Alexa Elder
We look forward to hearing the results of their competition!


The middle school girls basketball teams split games at Gibsonburg - the 8th grade won, 20-13, as Payton Whitcum scored five points, and Lacey Lipstraw and Olivia Schreck each had four points; the 7th grade lost, 21-19, as Liv Sentle had six points and Myra Huss had four points.

Parents and kinship caregivers! Sandusky County JFS just made us aware of this neat program! On the 3rd Tuesday of every month (except August and December), they will be hosting a parent cafe to discuss the joys and challenges of parenting. Bonus - childcare and dinner is provided! The cafes run from 5:30 - 7PM. If you have any questions, please reach out to Jenni Zaika or Tiffany Felter (their contact info is on the flyer). Registration is required - just scan the QR code and register for each session you'd like to attend.

The middle school boys wrestling team placed 10th in the 32-team Lakota Invite with 92 points. Graham Knepper was the 2nd at 160 pounds with a 5-1 record, DJ Orcelletto was 4th at 142 with a 3-2 record, Stone Meggitt (92) and Nick Vargo (172) were both 6th with 4-2 records.

The middle school girls wrestling team placed seventh in the Tinora Invite with 40 points. Hope Scherger won the 128-pound weight class pinning all three of her opponents. Tinley Thieroff placed second in the 80-pound weight class. There were 45 schools in the tournament.

It's officially Winter Break! We hope you have a relaxing, joy-filled break and we can't wait to see you back in the new year! Classes resume on January 4th!

The middle school boys basketball teams split games at home with Danbury - the 8th grade won, 44-21, as Mason Mcgee scored 12 points and Collin Perkins added 10 points; the 7th grade lost, 47-35, as Owen Herrig scored 14 points and Bowen Ish scored 12 points.

The middle school girls basketball teams split games at Danbury - the 8th grade won, 36-5, as Addison Lowry scored 10 points, Payton Whitcum scored 9, and Olivia Schreck added 8; the 7th grade lost, 16-10, as Samantha Alarcon and Liv Sentle each scored four points.
